A salmonella outbreak covering half the country has been linked to pet lizards.
44 people in 25 states have been sickened so far, according to the CDC. Of that total, 33 people say they owned or touched a bearded dragon lizard.
The CDC recommends anyone keeping lizards as a pet follow proper safety guidelines such as washing your hands, keeping it out of the kitchen or near human food and water.
They also advise you don’t ‘kiss and snuggle’ your bearded dragon.
