- Don’t Forget Normal: While it can be very enticing to market a HUGE SALE during the holiday season, do not forget your normal every day customers. Make sure your service and level of customer attention stay the same or better during this season. Keep current customers happy during holiday seasons and they will continue to return after holiday season.
- Make any Offer Something Special: While a sale can bring in new customers, they may only be one time customers. Be careful not to make a sale to good. Doing this could make new customers wait only until this type of sales comes again, plus it could make current customers wait on purchases until these sales come back around. Instead try doing a gift with purchase. Such as: With any purchase you will give your customer a 25% off coupon good for purchases on their next visit to your store.
- Employee Satisfaction is Crucial: Employee Satisfaction = Customer Satisfaction = Company Profit. It is always important to keep your employees happy and involved. During the holidays this is even more important as this time of year can be stressful for everyone. There are many ways to do this from involving employees in company charities, to lunches or gathering provided by company. You have to do what works best for your business and employees.
