Marsha Taylor considers herself close to local. "I have been in Florida since I was in the 3rd grade," Marsha said. She moved here in the 60's when her father, a navigator in the Air Force, was transferred here.
Marsha attended college at Morehead State University in Kentucky, where she got her degree in radio television.
All through college, Marsha worked at small AM stations. Her first job was at WMST, which did a little bit of everything. "The format changed depending on the shift," Marsha said.
She joined us here at WDBO in 1986 when she heard about an opening for a midday anchor and street reporter. In 1988 she was promoted to news director.
Marsha typically arrives at the station around 5 a.m. "I try to fill in the gaps on the stories that we haven't had time to hit," Marsha said. Marsha directs the news room staff..but you can find her every morning in the newsroom getting ready to co-anchor the morning news with Dave Wahl.
When she is not working hard in the newsroom, Marsha can be found spending time with her family. Marsha and her husband, Dave, have three children. Kyle is a senior at Lake Mary, Kyli is a freshman, and her youngest is 3 year-old David.
She spends her free time on booster club boards, taking tennis lessons with her daughter, and every once in a blue moon, relaxing.
