Ken Tyndall

News Reporter/Anchor

Ken Tyndall brings more than 30 years of Broadcast Journalism experience to the WDBO News Team. A native of North Carolina, Ken attended East Carolina University and was graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ken began his broadcasting career during his college years. He started working full time in radio, when he was still a freshman in college and worked at a number of radio stations in Greenville, Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh.

After several years in radio, Ken expanded his Broadcast Journalism skills into television, anchoring and reporting the news at TV stations around the country, including 14 years at WFTV Channel Nine in Orlando. During his years in broadcasting, Ken's work has been recognized with several Regional Emmy awards. He also has been honored with a number of awards from the Associated Press, including Best Television News Anchor.  Most recently, Ken won the 2011 Florida Associated Press Broacasters Individual Achievement Award for radio reporting.

During his spare time, Ken enjoys boating, swimming and spending time with family and friends.
