ORLANDO, Fla. —
Titanic the Experience is ready to reopen with a never before seen new artifact, the ship’s hull.
It was originally located on the starboard side on the C deck; with portholes that were used to look into the ships dishwashing and china storage room. After two diving attempts to retrieve the piece, the 3,000 pound piece will finally be on display in the museum adding to the “Titanic Experience.”
Along with the ship’s hull, there are also 100 authentic artifacts recovered from the wreck on display also. The exhibit will also provide the visitors with a “real life” walk through with the tour guide, who is also a trained actor.
According to an employee at the exhibit “Each actor is trained and dressed in period costume, visitors will be able to see Titanic through the eyes of the famous passengers the actor is portraying. Before the tour each person is equipped with a boarding pass that would have resembled the original from 1912.
The tour will start with the construction and end with the night the Titanic sank. Visitors will be educate and be more familiar with the stories of some of the passengers aboard the Titanic. On the guided tour visitors will experience the exhibitions 17 galleries complete with full scale re-creations of Titanic’s most famous rooms.
Among with the new artifact on display and the 100th anniversary of the Titanic coming up, the staff is expecting a lot of business.
