A private company will be handling the next trip from the US to the International Space Station.
SpaceX will be launching its Dragon capsule from the Naval Air Station on Cape Canaveral on November 30.
The mission is part of a cargo test run.
"That's a test flight where we show the capability to launch Dragon, orbit the Earth, dock with the International Space Station, unload cargo and then return back to Earth safely," said SpaceX Spokeswoman Kirstin Grantham.
She tells us the gumdrop-shaped capsule will not be manned.
"When the capsule connects to the International Space Station, astronauts aboard the space station will enter and be the ones to remove the cargo," said Grantham.
But she tells us plans are underway for manned spaceflight.
"The first manned mission with continued NASA support is expected to occur in 2014," said Grantham. "The capsule is about 12 feet in diameter, and it can carry seven astronauts comfortably."
The Dragon capsule made the world's first private trip into orbit last December.
