ORANGE COUNTY -- A Tampa man is in the Orange County Jail on Monday after police arrested him in an undercover sex sting.

WFTV Channel 9 Eyewitness News reports that police said 32-year-old Milton Tate admitted he drove 100 miles from Clearwater to Orlando, thinking he was going to have sex with a woman, her husband and their 13-year-old daughter.

He was taken into custody after he showed up at the Tradewinds condominiums on South Hiawassee Road on Saturday. Police said when Tate got out of his car, they were there, ready to arrest him.

Residents at the condominium complex said they were disturbed the sting happened so close to their homes.

"In that apartment? Wow. We didn't know," said Adrianna Perez, a resident.

"To hear that, it's pretty disturbing," said Courtney Alexander, a resident. "If he's an adult and he's trying to sleep with children or whatever the case may be. that's horrible."

Tate began unknowingly talking to undercover detectives last week, after responding to an ad on Craigslist. A detective posed as a woman who sought someone to have sex with her entire family, teen daughter included.

According to the arrest report, Tate admitted to discussing sexual acts he would commit on the girl by email and phone. The report also stated that Tate sent nude pictures.

WFTV found out Tate works for a video production company in Tampa.

WFTV spoke with the suspect's wife, who said she didn't know much about her husband's arrest and refused to say if he deals with kids on a regular basis, or if they have any children.

Tate is charged with attempted lewd and lascivious behavior and obscene communication.

WFTV learned he's been charged with assault in the past. Tate is expected to appear before a judge on Monday.
