Former Orlando Police Chief Val Demings is raking in the cash in her run for Congress.
Demings' camp reports that she has raised more than $190, 421 in less than two and a half months.
That compares to more than $150,000 for Congressman Dan Webster in eight months, but Rollins College Political Science Professor Rick Fogleson says don't count Webster out.
"Well, I don't think you can predict the results of this race based on the fundraising totals thus far," said Foglesong.
Still, he says Demings raising so much money so quickly sends a positive sign to the national party.
"She needs to impress the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in Washington that funds Congressional campaigns that she has a chance of winning this district so that she can get some of that national Democratic money," said Foglesong.
He also tells us he expects Webster to pick up his fundraising and says this will be a big-dollar race.
