ORLANDO, Fla. —
A judge made a ruling on Thursday that keeps Casey Anthony quiet, for now, in her defamation lawsuit.
Judge Lisa Munyon agreed with attorneys for Anthony who argued she should be able to use her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, since she is appealing her conviction of lying to law enforcement.
Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez want Casey to testify under oath about what happened to her daughter, Caylee Anthony.
Gonzalez's lawyer Matt Morgan said in a statement that he disagrees with the ruling.
Morgan said he would ask for a summary judgment next week, based on Casey's comments to her mother while she was in jail.
Anthony originally told detectives searching for Caylee that a nanny named Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez took her.
